I’m Caylee — the photographer behind The Sussex Storyteller.

I’m a mum of three, partner to Gareth, and dog mum to Rosie. I’ve called Uckfield home for over 20 years, and it’s where so much of my love for slow, meaningful storytelling began.

For a long time, I felt like I’d lost a part of myself in motherhood, like I was “just a mum” without something that truly belonged to me. Photography quietly found its way back to me during that season, and once I picked up a camera again, something clicked. Now, everywhere I look, I see light, connection, and the little in-between moments most people would walk past.

What started as a creative outlet quickly became something much deeper. I fell completely in love with documenting families in a way that feels honest and full of feeling, the laughter, the comfort, the movement, the connection, and the fleeting moments you wish you could bottle up forever.

It’s such an honour to be invited into people’s lives to capture memories that will one day mean everything.

I can’t imagine doing anything else.
